Perimenopause &  Menopause should be a time of freedom—the kids are all grown up and the demands on your time are less and it is finally the time you get to spend on YOU. But, for many women, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep issues, mood changes, heavy periods, breast pain, and unwanted weight gain interfere with the calm, peaceful life you imagined.

So many women suffer with these symptoms and believe that “it is normal” and that it is “just the way it is” when you are transitioning into menopause.

Well, I am here to tell you that just because “it is common” does NOT make it “normal”!

Menopause should be a seamless transition for the body without much disruption…. However many women suffer from symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, weight gain, etc.

Conventional medicine unfortunately doesn’t provide many answers for women other than birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy or antidepressants…. None of which I would recommend as a first choice!

What’s going on?

Well, during this transition from perimenopause to menopause hormones are fluctuating and can be “all over the place.”  Estrogen can be taking its own roller coaster ride which is no fun for you. When estrogen is high it can cause breast pain, heavy periods, and mood changes .When estrogen is crashes it can cause hot flashes, night sweats, depression, sleep disturbances, and weight gain in the wrong places.

Progesterone helps to balance estrogen but during perimenopause & menopause the body makes less progesterone.

What is the natural approach?

There are many things that you can do naturally to support your body through this transition.

#1 Reduce inflammation
#2 Clean up the liver
#3 Support digestion
#4 Support the HPA axis
#5 Support the adrenals & thyroid gland

I encourage you to take charge of your health and make the transition into perimenopause & menopause as seamless as possible so that you can focus on YOU and finally do all those things you’ve been putting off for years!
